Construction Progress Updates

Building your home, step by step

Blending West Coast architecture with modern design, these low-rise homes and retail storefronts are soon to become welcome additions to the neighbourhood. On target for a Late Summer 2026 completion, construction is well underway and the Killarney Construction team is hard at work bringing Adore 49th to life.

Want to see it for yourself? Walk by our site on 49th Avenue and Alberta Street to see the Killarney team in action.

Milestone 1

Site Prep & Excavation

Breaking Ground
Construction begins with clearing and preparing the land — the first essential step in building your future home. We excavate down to the parkade before laying down the foundation.

Milestone 2

Foundation & Crane Installation

Laying the Groundwork
Concrete foundations are poured and the crane is installed, setting the stage for everything that comes next. One of the most significant stages, especially with our two level parkade below grade and two storey concrete podium at Adore.

Milestone 3

Concrete Pour to Street Level

Forming the Foundation
Concrete forms the foundations and footings needed for the building structure. Mixing, leveling, smoothing, curing – it’s all part of creating a strong base.

Milestone 4

Framing

Floor by floor until it’s topped off
Walls, floors, and staircases come to life as the building’s full structure begins to take shape. Don’t worry, this isn’t our first rodeo – check out our latest progress here. We’re adding a floor almost every week.

Milestone 5

Windows, Roofing & Building Enclosure

Weather-Tight & Secure
The roof is installed (level 5), sealing the building from above and protecting the structure from the elements. Then comes windows, doors, and weatherproofing in place, the building reaches lock-up — fully enclosed and ready for interior work. Another significant milestone!

Milestone 6

Interior Rough-Ins & Interior Finishes

What’s Behind the Walls
Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems are roughed in before drywall is installed as the hidden infrastructure of each home comes together. Shortly after, interior design details come to life with flooring, cabinetry, tile, millwork, appliances, and finishes are installed — this is where the personality and style of each home begins to shine. Early Summer 2026.

Milestone 7

Completion & Move-In

Welcome Home
Final inspections are complete, landscaping is done, and it’s time to move in. Estimated Late Summer 2026.
